 The Broad Agency Announcement is a technique for U.S. govt agencies to solicit proposals from outside groups for certain research and development. 

 A subaward is when an institution receives funding and issues part of that funding to the subrecipient for a portion of the project.

In an FFP contract, the payment amount does not depend on resources used or time expended.

In a T&M contract, the employer agrees to pay the contractor based upon the time spent to perform the work, and for materials used.

In a CPFF contract, a contractor is paid for all of its allowed expenses,  plus additional payment to allow for a profit.
